Truck Time with Billy: The Power of Community Input

As Election Day approaches, mayoral candidate Billy Rosener continues connecting with residents, knocking on doors, answering calls, and listening to concerns. In his latest Truck Time, Billy reflected on an important theme: the value of community voices in solving Helena’s challenges.

👥 Community Talent, Community Solutions

A couple of weeks ago, Billy spoke about the possibility of bringing in a traffic consultant to help evaluate back-to-school congestion. Shortly after, he received a message from a Helena resident who already had expertise in traffic planning and volunteered to help find solutions.

For Billy, this was a powerful reminder of two things:

1️⃣ Helena is full of diverse skill sets and willing neighbors who want to contribute.

2️⃣ The city can only thrive if leaders are open to welcoming those voices and talents.

As Billy put it, “Why would I not leverage skills I don’t personally have in order to provide what’s best for our community?

🚪 Leadership That Welcomes Ideas

Billy believes one of the city’s greatest missed opportunities has been dismissing community offers of help. Too often, residents with valuable ideas or professional expertise have been told “we’ve got it,” instead of being welcomed to the table.

If elected mayor, Billy commits to reversing that approach. He will:

Invite input from citizens across all walks of life

Value outside expertise when tackling specific challenges

✅ Ensure that the best ideas win, regardless of where they come from — the mayor, council, or the community

📅 The Final Push

Billy will be out all weekend and Monday, knocking on doors, attending events, and talking with as many residents as possible before Election Day. If you see him around town, stop and say hello.

You can also call or text Billy directly at 205-482-7741 with questions, concerns, or ideas.

🗳 Election Day is Tuesday, August 26. Billy Rosener would be humbled and honored to earn your vote as the next mayor of Helena.
