Celebrating National Senior Citizens Day

Yesterday I had the privilege of celebrating National Senior Citizens Day with our wonderful Helena Seniors!

Every time I sit with them, I’m reminded of how much wisdom, perspective, and love they bring to our community. Their stories and vision for Helena are priceless, and I always walk away encouraged.

I’m especially excited that, once our new City Hall is complete, our seniors will have a space to truly call their own. But we can’t stop there!

Meeting only a handful of times a month doesn’t do justice to this vibrant group. I look forward to working with our Parks & Rec Department, and with our seniors themselves, to create more opportunities for connection, activities, and community.

Our seniors deserve to be celebrated, supported, and engaged.

Helena is stronger because of them, and I’m grateful for the chance to listen and learn from their experiences as we continue to build a brighter future together.
