BILLY ROSENER KICKS OFF MAYORAL CAMPAIGN WITH COMMUNITY CELEBRATION IN HELENA

HELENA, Ala. - The energy was high and the sense of community stronger than ever as Billy Rosener officially kicked off his campaign for Mayor of Helena at a well-attended event on Wednesday evening. Held at a community clubhouse in Helena, the open-invite gathering welcomed residents from all across the city to meet Rosener, hear his vision, and celebrate the beginning of an exciting journey toward Helena’s future.

“First, I would like to thank all of you for coming out and showing your support!” Rosener shared as he addressed the crowd. “Many of you here today I have known for years and consider as close friends and family. And for those I don’t know as well yet, I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you in the coming months. Your support truly means the world to me.”

Rosener and his wife, Allie, have called Helena home for over 20 years, raising their three children in a city they love. Throughout that time, he has been deeply involved in the community—coaching youth sports, volunteering for city initiatives, and serving on both the Gobblers Knob Board of Directors and the Helena Old Town Board (HOTBoard). His dedication to civic engagement, combined with his extensive financial and business background as a retired CPA and realtor, has positioned him as a leader ready to guide Helena into its next chapter.

“I have always believed that it’s important to be involved—not to just watch from the sidelines. Whether coaching, volunteering at the parks, or serving on local boards, I’ve always strived to contribute and leave things better than I found them,” Rosener stated.

With his youngest child, Miah, graduating from Helena High School last May, Rosener felt the timing was finally right to step into a greater leadership role in the city he has long served.

“I firmly believe that my financial background, work ethic, and passion for this community provide the foundation to lead Helena toward realizing its full potential,” he emphasized. “I’m more excited than ever for what lies ahead, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve this great city. The best is yet to come for Helena!”

Community Support for Rosener’s Vision

Residents in attendance expressed enthusiasm and optimism for Rosener’s campaign and his commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement.

“Being at the campaign kickoff event for Billy for Mayor was truly something special!” said Helena resident Bevin Barber. “Helena is an incredible city, and seeing Billy connect with its citizens—listening to their concerns and sharing a vision for the future—was inspiring. Moments like these remind me why our community is so special and give us great hope for the bright future ahead!”

Longtime Helena resident and educator Mark Winter echoed that sentiment, saying, “Being part of Billy’s campaign kickoff event was an outstanding experience! It was inspiring to see him not only reconnect with old friends but also engage with new faces in the community, truly listening and sharing his vision for Helena. Our city needs a proven leader with a deep passion for its people, and I believe Billy Rosener is the right person to lead us forward!”

Looking Ahead to Election Day

The election for Mayor and City Council in Helena and neighboring communities will be held on August 26th, 2025. In the coming months, Rosener will continue to engage with Helena residents through meet-and-greet events, community discussions, and direct outreach. He invites everyone to reach out, share their thoughts, and join in shaping a stronger, more connected Helena.
